Before the band I was singing background vocals on television on shows like “The Voice” and for artists like Pharell Williams.

My favorite place to perform so far has be Washington, DC because it was the first place my parents were able to see me perform

The best thing was the first time I got a standing ovation because it was so unexpected. I almost dropped the mic in Switzerland, embarrassing

I lean heavily on the holy trinity of soul singers, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Donny Hathaway

If I’m driving and someone does something crazy that endangers my life and theirs, then they look at me like, I’m the jerk. That gets me every time
